Adding Work Orders to the Scheduler

Adding Work Orders to the Work Order Scheduler can be done in two ways - Either by using the AI Scheduler, or by adding items manually via the Backlog Listing.

Using the Work Order Scheduler AI

The Schedule periods can be automatically filled by using the AI Schedule function. This function will schedule out the work orders out automatically based on the due start and due finished dates of the work orders in the backlog, as well as taking any pre-existing trade lines into consideration.

To use the AI Schedule function, you can do so by clicking the AI Schedule Button located in the bottom left of the Work Order Scheduler.

Once this option has been selected, the AI Schedule Solution will pop-up and the schedule will begin to process and propose a solution. Once the Solution is generated, you will be able to select View to inspect the results. You may also view historical schedules that have been set up by the AI, by clicking the AI History button located in the bottom left of the scheduler.

When viewing the results, work orders will be displayed slightly transparently. The Schedule will not be applied, and the user can move the work orders around the schedule as needed before applying any permanent changes to the schedule.  Once the user is happy with the solution, they can click the Apply button in the bottom left to have those Work Orders applied to the schedule.

Manually Adding Work Orders to the Scheduler

Work Orders can be added to the Scheduler by selecting a Work Order in the Backlog Listing and dragging it anywhere onto the schedule pane. If the work order dragged into the Schedule does not have a trade already assigned to it, then it will prompt the user to create a trade for the work being scheduled. This will bring up the Create Trade screen, where the user can fill out the trade details for the schedule period. If the Work Order already has a trade assigned to it, then this will be added to the scheduler without this pop-up.

If you decide to change the trade for the scheduled work, you can click on the section in the scheduler that correlates to the Work Order Trade to make alterations to it. The fields that can be edited are the Trade Code, Trade Name, Start Date and Time and the Duration.
