It's normal for sites to occasionally have lags, particularly when a lot of data in being generated/ handled at the same time.
If you are self-hosted, please ensure you have enough memory/ RAM and that your data is saving correctly in case you are nearing server size limits. Please check in the Options Menu> General Tab, that you have Listing Show Count not set to All. We would recommend moving this to1000 for you to test, as this will avoid loading all your data at once, in every listing you open:
The beauty of this is that you will still be able to load all listings, just by clicking 'Show More' at the bottom of the listing. You can also range and filter these views within the listing.
Please ensure reports running especially Task Scheduler, which runs the Activator that can generate a lot of data at once. Also be wary of what reports are run both manually and automatically as these reports can unintentionally or unexpectedly have many hundreds of pages of generated data, which can significantly slow your site down.
A daily app recycle is recommended by MEX, as this is applied to our servers for cloud-hosted customers and keeps their sites running smoothly.
If you notice lags in performance, please perform an internet speed test and, if this appears normal, manually clear the cache in Control Files> Performance Diagnostics> untick Use Cache> click Home button>Repeat all the steps prior but tick Use Cache> click Home button:
If your server is hosted with MEX and you are continuing to experience performance issues after the above, please let us know. If you are not hosted with us, please provide your issues alongside server data from your IT/ server manager (memory, size, logs etc) and we can advise if this is server or MEX. Please note, for non-hosted sites, we may be able to advise but cannot support external infrastructure.
