When you are first given a new user for MEX, it’s a good idea to change the default password you have been given.

Steps to Change Your Password in MEX:

  • From the Main Menu of MEX click the Control Files Button.
  • Under General - Security click the Security Users button.
  • In the Security Users listing, select your user from the list and click the Details Button, or double-click on the user’s record.
  • In the User Details form, click the Change Password button.
  • The Change Password form will now appear.
  • Type in your new password.
  • Retype the password exactly as you did above to confirm.
  • Click OK to confirm the change.

Remember that passwords keep your systems and information safe, so be sure to choose one that is unique and known only to you.

Forgot Password on Login

If a user forgets their password and cannot log in, they can use the ‘Forgot Password’ functionality on the login page.

After entering a username and selecting the forgot password function, MEX will send an email to the registered email address with a reset prompt. An email address must be assigned to the user account for this feature to work. This can be done in the Contact Details page under the Details tab.

Once the password reset email has been sent, a confirmation pop-up will appear.
