MEX Support - Work Order & Inspections

The extra work order was generated from the inspection question because it had the ‘Record’ checkbox ticked. If this checkbox is ticked when the work order is closed off, it will generate a work order history record against the inspected asset, containing the details recorded in that inspection question answer.

This might have been ticked while completing the work order, or it can also be ticked by default if the ‘Record’ field in the inspection question set is ticked.

Adding Comments to Completed Work Orders

Comments can typically be added in the history description section of the work order. The history description will, by default, have the original description of the work order, but the user can add additional comments if needed.

Additional comments can also be added against individual tradelines if trades want to provide details on the work completed.

If neither the history description nor the tradeline comment section meets your needs, you could create a custom comment box in the work order history to record comments once the work has been completed.

Creating custom fields involves several steps, but you can refer to our MEX v15 User Guide for detailed instructions.

Let me know if you have any questions or issues regarding this.

MEX Support
